Biography
I work primarily at the intersection of philosophy and science, with a particular focus on issues that arise in physics. Most recently, I have worked on questions of probability in primordial cosmology and on philosophical aspects of black hole physics. Prior to my appointment at Notre Dame I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Black Hole Initiative at Harvard University. I hold a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
